SNAKE BITTEN

At this point I should be more than tired of animal prints...but guess what? I'm not at all! And with this pants was love at first sight. 

Besides, I'm not the only one who keeps supporting this trend, what do you think about the street style and the Lanvin commercial? 

It seems like animal print refuses to go out of style, and I'm delighted to hear it!!

A este punto debería estar más que harta del estampado animal...pero adivináis qué? No lo estoy en absoluto! Es más, cada vez me gusta más! 

Con estos pantalones fue amor a primera vista. Además parece que no soy la única que sigue apoyando la tendencia, que os parecen las fotos de estilismos y el anuncio de Lanvin? Todo apunta a que a que el estampado animal se resiste a abandonar la moda, y yo encantada!

It seems like the winter has hit New York again (damn climate change!!)... so I just wish I was here, enjoying the sun and the good weather. 

I miss you sunny California :)

Parece que el invierno ha llegado de nuevo a Nueva York (maldito cambio climático!!)... y viendo estas fotos me han entrado unas ganas enormes de volver y disfrutar del sol y el buen tiempo. Te echo de menos soleada California :)

BALENCIAGA'S LEGACY

Last Friday marked the 40th death anniversary of Cristóbal Balenciaga.

Therefore, in his memory, I decided to share with you part of a school project I did last semester.  

We had to choose one of the most influential couturiers of the 20th century, and of course I chose him, Balenciaga, the master. 

(You know how I like him!! Do you remember when I talked about my visit to Balenciaga's museum HERE?)

Regarding to the pictures above, show the huge international impact of his dramatic silhouettes, and how they have

 influenced the next century of fashion designers. As it is seen, Balenciaga provided a lot of innovations to the fashion world, 

specially improvements related to shapes. And I find amazing how, even today, 

designers still get inspired by the creations of this great genius.

More that one hundred years have passed since the birth of Balenciaga,

nevertheless his style continues to influence current fashions season after season.

El viernes pasado se cumplieron 40 años de la muerte de Cristóbal Balenciaga. 

Por ello, he decidio compartir con vosotros parte de un proyecto de clase que hice el semestre pasado. 

Nos pidieron elegir entre los diseñadores más influyentes del siglo XX, y por supuesto, elegí a Balenciaga, el maestro.

(Ya sabeis de sobra como me gusta!! Os acordais de cuando hablé sobre mi visita al museo Balenciaga AQUI?) 

Centrándonos en las imágenes superiores, estas muestran el gran impacto internacional de sus dramáticas siluetas, y enseñan 

lo mucho que éstas influenciaron a los diseñadores de generaciones posteriores. Balenciaga proporcionó innumerables innovaciones 

al mundo de la moda, destacando en la creación de nuevas formas. Y encuentro asombroso cómo en la actualidad, 

los diseñadores siguen inspirandose en las creaciones de este gran genio. 

Ya han pasado más de cien años desde su nacimiento, 

pero su estilo y nombre siguen vivos, guiando el rumbo de la moda temporada tras temporada.
